BEHIND THE LENS
My name is Drayke Larson and I am head photographer for Photosynthetique. Forgoing the "reality" of straight-from-the-camera shooting, my unique vision is about making images that are more saturated, sharper and more emotionally infused than any camera's sensor could possibly capture. Post production is a huge part of the work that I do. The name "Photosynthetique" and the tagline "Turning light into energy" both come from the transformative nature of my images. Like the chemical process photosynthesis, my images are taken in as light, and changed into something far more nourishing.
My projects include alternative fashion (both runway and catalog), commercial, product, lifestyle, portrait and uniquely artistic weddings. I am always taking on new projects and enjoy collaborating with fellow artists. I strongly believe that sharing knowledge and talent with other artists only serves to make the community more fun and productive. To this end, I am a proud member of the The Libertine Asylum, an artist collective dedicated to "bringing fancy back". More information can be found at http://libertineasylum.com
I reside in Minneapolis, MN, which serves as both my home and one of my favourite photographic subjects.

Choosing a Photographer
The most important factors in selecting a photographer today is that person's inherent skill, talent, experience and eye. After that, nothing else really matters. Its all in that person's ability to capture those once in a lifetime special moments. Choosing a photographer for something as important as a wedding should be very carefully thought about to ensure that you're working with a professional who understands what you are looking for on your special day. I have a strong background in portraiture and fashion, plus years of experience, and it shows in my work. If this is the kind of artistry that you are looking for, then I hope to be your wedding photographer.
Digital Package - $1000
I will be with you for up to 12 Hours of photography coverage on your special day, capturing an unlimited number of images of your nuptials You will receive DVDs containing all of the non-copyrighted, high resolution, edited images in a digital format. This will allow you to print and enlarge all of your favourite images as many times as you would like at no additional charge.
Additional DVDs of the images can be purchased as gifts for family at $10.00 each.
Engagement Package - $1300
All of the Digital Package plus a 2 hour engagement photo session well in advance of the wedding date. In addtition you will receive 4x6 prints of all the edited images (averages between 100 and 300 total, depending on length of wedding) on high quality archival paper. This package also includes an additional two copies of the DVD containing your images to be given to family members.
Special Note - Rates are negotiable for short weddings, reception-only/ceremony-only events, etc. Please contact me for details.
